God needs our help to save us?

Will-Work-Sign-medConsidering that “All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.” (Isaiah 64:6) And considering that the Hebrew word translated “filthy rags” means a used sanitary napkin, which has several connotations in the Rabbinical Law, it is the height of arrogance for us to think that God needs our help to save us. Jesus blood was not enough. O’ how foolish we mortals are to think that we can impress Holy God with our good works. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.
